We are currently seeking a Wharf Transport scheduler / bookings clerk, with time-slotting experience to join a busy container transport company based in West Melbourne. Working closely with the fleet controllers and export team you will become a a skilled operations all rounder. This vacancy would suit a dynamic individual who is looking for a career path in to senior operations.

 

Duties:

  • Monitoring the booking system (one stop) to book available time slots
  • Obtain required time slots and arrange local transport
  • Assist with preparation export documentation
  • General ad-hoc duties
  • Learn all aspects of transport operations to become an operations all rounder

 

Skills / Experience required:

 

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Wharf transport / container transport knowledge is preferred
  • Sound knowledge of ONESTOP booking system
  • Ability to multi task
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
