JV Logistics – recruitment is proudly representing a progressive transport company based in Melbourne’s South Eastern Suburbs. Due to a new growth phase for the business they are seeking the services of a talented Operations Supervisor with specific industry experience in the Taxi Truck or Courier transport arena.

As operations supervisor one of your main tasks is to manage the daily work flow for the business. Working closely with the operations manager & fleet control you will ensure all customer orders are processed in a timely fashion. You will co-ordinate company and sub-contractor drivers to make sure they are meeting customer pick up and drop off times. You will also need to manage budgets and ensure any additional costs are kept to a minimum.

Other duties:

• Hands on fleet control
• Recruiting, Managing and Training Drivers and Operations staff
• Review and improve operational activities
• Manage customer enquiries / quotes and complaints
• Ensure compliance of all driver vehicles
• Manage all staff performance issues

Skills / Experience:

• Previous operations management / supervisory experience in a similar position (essential)
• Excellent People Management skills
• Outstanding Communication skills
• Good analytical skills
• Advanced PC skills
• Previous experience using FMS. Hub systems
• Must be a team player with a strong work ethic
